Cycling is awesome

On Saturday morning, I rented a bicycle from Velogate near Zürich Hauptbahnhof and went cycling around the city. Cycling is awesome. I can't understand why there are still people driving cards in Zürich when they could be cycling instead. You can reach respectable speeds despite road crossings and pedestrians. It's much faster than walking. And it's fun. After getting bored of the city, I headed west to the Uetliberg, a hill overlooking Zürich. Cycling in the city is fun but it's even better in the less densely populated area around the Uetliberg. You can ride at greater speeds with fewer interruptions. And after gaining altitude up the hill, you get to whizz back down. The scenery is good too. I can only image that going a step further and taking a trip through the countryside would be supercool. I intend to find out soon.
